When first introduced to yoga, I was strictly seeking a physical challenge. I'm a competetive mover and shaker and wanted to win at this "yoga" thing. To my surprise, as I continued practicing something magical happened... I became more present. I was clearer and more confident. I began approaching challenges in my life with greater ease. What a difference a deep breath can make!
My hope is to make yoga accessible to everyone and I use my humor and compassion to do just that. My teaching incorporates elements of Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, and Restorative. Each class begins with an intention that can be carried beyond the mat and progresses through a series of postures that focus on alignment, breath, and self-expression.
Specializing in pre/post-natal yoga, I am continually amazed by the intelligence and strength of the human body. Working with families during this exceptional time in their lives is such an honor! It's inspired me to become a childbirth educator and doula. I bring my experience with birth into my teaching and create an environment where fears can be released and connection to your intuitive nature is cultivated.
